- 1850 Census has him age 32 living in Stockbridge, Berkshire Co., MA with wife Maria, age 21, and Jane E. , age 1. Maria was born in NY state.
- Correction to 1850 Census: Sam E. Palmer, age 1.
- Also living with him is his brother Mallory, age 16.
- Living with the family were Ellen O'Neal, age 28, born in Ireland, and Ann O'Neal age 6, born in Ireland.
