Life Job Palmer 1st lived at Hope, near Nelson.. Job and Harriet had 12 children.

Death Colonist, Volume XVII, Issue 1838, 19 November 1874, Page 5. Serious Accident.—lt is reported that on Nov. 9th, Mr Job Palmer, who was driving a cart loaded with timber near the Wairoa Bridge, accidentally fell out, when the wheel passed over his breast, causing such serious injuries that he is not expected to recover.

Job died on 4 November 1877 at Waimea East, Nelson, New Zealand.[1]

The property at Brightwater, belonging to the estate of the late Mr Job Palmer, has recently been sub-divided into seven excellent farms, and on the 21st of this month- Messrs Bisley Bros and Co. will offer them by public auction at the exchange rooms. As land in the Waimeas is hard to obtain, this sale forms a splendid opportunity for would-be purchasers to snap up a remunerative property at their own figure.
