DNA Connections
It may be possible to confirm family relationships with Joseph by comparing test results with other carriers of his Y-chromosome or his mother's mitochondrial DNA. However, there are no known yDNA or mtDNA test-takers in his direct paternal or maternal line. It is likely that these autosomal DNA test-takers will share some percentage of DNA with Joseph:

I am working on a triangulation group with Most Recent Common Ancestors Joseph Pangborn (Pangborn-22) and his wife Mary Mills (Mills-438). I have four descents through sons Samuel, John, and son Unkown, father of Amos.

While I have three lines for the triangulation, they involve only 2 sons, Samuel (1) and John(2). This gives a weaker triangulation because there are two MRCA generations…John and his father Joseph. I am persuing a fourth line that hopefully will involve yet another son of Joseph.

To do this, I need to just find the father of Amos Pangborn( ~1775- ) He married Polly Kingman in 1808, Bridport, VT. He may be the same Amos Pangborn that married Sally Hammond at Vergennes, VT in 1796. The shared DNA descent is through Pollys son James Loring Pangborn of Windsor, VT.

Thanks in advance to anyone who takes a look at this.
