Biography

Living with Frederick Handford as a Servants to the Stevens (James, Mary & Children) family in 1851 census [1]


Elizabeth was born on 13 June 1831 in Newington, Surrey, England. She was the daughter of Benjamin Pankhurst and Elizabeth Ann (Day) Pankhurst.[2]

Elizabeth was baptised on 31 July 1831 in Newington St Mary, England.[3][4]

In the 1841 census Elizabeth (age 9) was living in Lambeth, Surrey, England.[5]

In the 1851 census Elizabeth (age 19) was living in Clerkenwell, Middlesex, England. Relationship: Servant.[2]

When Elizabeth was 20 she married on 22 June 1851 in Cripplegate, Middlesex, England.[6][7][8]

On 8 February 1861 Elizabeth (age 29) was living in St Pancras, London, England. 17 Aldenham St.
