Biography

Antoine Paquin was born on December 7, 1801, in Quebec, Canada. He married Susan Lavake and they had several children. They were pioneers of the area near St Ignace, Michigan, where Antoine was a fisherman. Antoine helped to build the old Mission Church, thought to be the first in Mackinac County. [1]. He died on November 9, 1885, in St Ignace, Michigan, having lived a long life of 83 years.
