THOMAS PARHAM
Thomas witnessed his father's will, so he apparently moved to Georgia with the family. It appears that he didn't remain, however, as he does not appear in the census or marriage
records of Elbert County. It is possible he may have returned to North Carolina, for in 1809 a Thomas W. Parham purchased from John Sr's. brother, Thomas, the 82 acres which John Sr. had sold to Thomas in 1785. The same Thomas W. married Patsy Bearden on July 24, 1809, in Granville county, and was named in the tax lists for many years. He and his family were enumerated in the Granville census through 1830, but by 1840 there were no Thomas Parham families listed in the entire state of North Carolina. He had either died or had moved to another state. The 1820 census indicates that Patsy, wife of Thomas W., was no longer alive, but there were five boys and one girl, all under the age of ten.
