Biography

William, Allene, and three children, were enumerated in the 1950 census of Madera County, California, USA.^[1]

Wanda June "Gumma" Williams was born August 28, 1943. She passed away on October 19, 2008, with her family at her side in the city of Fortuna.

She was born in Ratcliff, Arkansas. She lived in the San Joaquin Valley for many years before coming to Humboldt County.

She was preceded In death by her mother, Geneva Mathis; her step-father, Bill Mathis; her father, William Parker; her 2 infant daughters; and her nephew, Andy Thomas.

She is survived by husband of 36 years, Sherman Williams. Her son, Billy Williams and his friend Kayla and his children Mikayla, Eli, Casey, and Andrew; her daughter, Brenda Anderson and her children Cameron, Cory, and Ashante; her step-son, Sean Williams, his wife Caroline and their children Ashley, Lizzy, and Andrea; her step-son, Matthew Williams, his wife Marci and their children Matt, David, Kortney, and Tori; her step-daughter, Elise Williams and her children George and Amanda; her step-son, Greg Williams, his wife Debra and their children Carrie, Kim and Greg. She is survived by her brother, Bill Parker and his wife Barbara; her sister, Janice Howard and her husband Don; her sister Terry Roberts; and her sister, Vicky Atkins. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

Pall bearers will be Billy Williams, Matthew Williams, Sean Williams, Cameron Baldwin, Phillip Viveiros, and AJ Anderson. Honorary pall bearers will be Cory Baldwin, Casey Williams, Eli Williams, Ted Williams, Donny Howard, Todd Howard, Tim Howard, Steve Howard, Keith Howard, Timmy Howard, Kevin Howard, Nate Scheffler, Luke Viveiros, Jeff Wolfe, and Tracy Wolfe.

She will also be remembered by close friends, Billie Britton, Brenda Latham, Brenda Swenson, Ashley Ashley, Phillip and Sherral Viveiros, Mariah Viveiros, Daisy Viveiros, Deanna Anderson, and Mandi Jackson. The family gives apologies for anyone who was missed. She loved you all.

The family would like to thank Dr. Lawrence Badgley for his years of care. The family would like to also thank all the staff at Redwood Memorial Hospital for their care.

A graveside memorial service is planned for Tuesday, October 28 at 1 o'clock at Ocean View cemetery. A potluck gathering for family and friends will follow.

Arrangements are under the care of Pierce Mortuary in Eureka.
