He married Mary Tichbon on 20 October 1880 at Perth.[2]
On April 24 Mr. Richard Parker died at his residence, 12 Roy-street. Mount Lawley, at the age of 74 years. The deceased gentleman was born in Perth, where he lived all of his life. For 27 years the late Mr. Parker was employed by the Perth City Council, until about two years ago, when, owing to an accident, which resulted in a broken leg. he retired from the council's service. Since that time be had been under medical treatment. The funeral proceeded from St. Alban's Church, Highgate, where a very impressive service was conducted by the Rev. A. L. Marshall, who also officiated at the Karrakatta Cemetery. The chief mourners were Messrs. George. Charles, and Syd. Parker (sons), F. G. Ransley and F. Letcher (sons-in-law).[3]
