In the 1901 census of Cropwell Bishop he is mentioned as 29 single, a Farmer living at Canal House with his Mother. In the 1911 census he is mentioned 39 as living with his family at 12 Chaucer Terrace, Grantham Lincolnshire.
John Nixon Parker married Jane Carter in 1901 in Hitchin, Hertfordshire England. They had 6 children, 4 sons and 2 daughters.
John Nixon Parker owned the Hydraulic Blue Lias Lime Works in Cropwell Bishop, Nottingham. The Parker Family owned Parker Row, 10 houses in Cropwell Bishop. They Owned Groundwell Parm, mined Gypsum and made bricks, rooftiles, clay pipes and sold coal.
He died in on 3rd January 1962 and is buried in Boulton Park Cemetery Lincoln, Lincolnshire, England.
