Polly Parker was born on 24 May 1769 to Matthew Parker and Edith Hanes.[1] She married David Griswold on 7 Nov 1787 in Sharon, Litchfield, CT.[2] David and Polly moved to Addison County, VT, then possibly to NY and finally to Cuyahoga county, OH. According to the Parker-Pond-Peck book, David and Polly had children Henry and Edith.[3] Note on Polly in Parker In America, 1630-1910, p. 308: "Polly (Parker) Griswold went to Warrensville, Ohio. She was over 80 when she died. I have seen letters written by her in 1849, which show that besides Henry and Ethel [Edith], she had other chn.: Ashel [Asahel], David, Lyman [Luman], Betsey, and Polly [Mary?]."[4] Polly died sometime after 16 Sep 1850 when she enumerated in the census.[5]
Polly was named in her sister Edith Somers' will dated 25 Jun 1835 which states, "To my beloved Sister Polly Griswold of Ohio ten dollars."[6]
