8. Mildred PARKER b: 1835 in Rappahannock Co., Va.
His second wife was Frances Settle, daughter of Merryman Settle of Culpeper Co VA. Before moving to Illinois in the late 1830s, James and Frances owned and operated a mill at Hungry Run on the Rappahanock River. James's father was probably named James too. James also had a son named Jackson Parker. The elder James was reportedly a drummer in the Revolutionary War.
