Lovel was brother to Joel Parker. They and their families moved from Barkhamstead, Connecticut, to Ashtabula County, Ohio in 1816. The story of the family was recorded by his grandson Linus Newton Parker. [1]
According to family sources, Lovel Parker served for several months near the close of the Revolution, but no records exist of his service. [2]
