Will of Isaac Parker - 11 day of February 1779 In the name of God Amen I Isaac Parker the Elder of Northampton County and Province of North Carolina being of perfect and sound memory tho of weak and frail body and calling to mind the uncertainty of Life and knowing it is appointed for all men once to die do constitute and appoint this my last will and testament revoking and disannulling all others heretofore made.

Imprimis I recommend my soul unto the hands of God beseaching His most generous acceptance of it. I give my body to the ground from whence it was first taken and rest in hopes of resurrection to eternal Life. As to my burial service, it may be decent without pomp or pride according to the discretion of my Executors hereafter mentioned. As to the worldly estate it hath pleased God to endow me with I give and devise in manner and form following:

Item I will my just debts to be paid before my estate is distributed.

Item I leave my wife Susannah Parker the plantation whereon I now live with all my land thereunto belonging with profits of same during her natural life and after her decease I give and bequeath the plantation wheron I now live with the land to the Branch called Bluewater to my son Jas. Parker his heirs and assigns forever.

Item I give and bequeath to my son, Samuel Parker all my land on the west side of the sd. Bluewater Branch to his &n his heirs forever.

Item I leave my negro Ninanew to my wife, Susannah Parker during her natural life and after decease to fall and belong to my son, John Parker and in case he die without heirs to descend and belong between my two children, Samuel Parker and Susanna Parker to them and their heirs forever.

Item I give and bequeath unto my son Johnathan Parker twenty shillings sterling.

Item I give and bequeath unto my son Jonas Parker one cow and calf to him and his heirs forever.

Item I bequeath to my son Samuel Parker twenty shillings sterling.

Item I give and bequeath to my dau. Sarah Sumner one cow & calf to her & her heirs forever.

Item I give and bequeath to my daughter Charity Chestnut one feather bed & furniture to her & her heirs forever.

Item I leave to my wife Susanna Parker all the rest of my Estate which I have not yet bequeathed during her natural (life omitted) and after her decease to be equally divided between my four children, to wit; Mary Parker, Susanna Parker, John Parker & Nancy Parker to them & their heirs forever.

Item I constitute and appoint my wife Susanna Parker & my son James Parker Executors of this my last will and & Testament Ratifying & confirming the same under my hand & seal this 11 day of February 1779.

Isaac's mother was unlikely Hannah Holland-428, she would have been 8 years of age at his birthday - assuming that the DOB for both are reliable
