Michael's parents were Anne (nee Owen) and Michael Parker.
He was convicted of burglary at York, West Riding Quarter Sessions and sentenced to 7 years. Michael was transported aboard the ship "Guilford" which departed London on the 4th April 1822 and arrived 15th July 1822 in Sydney NSW. (Michael's older brother, William was convicted of handling stolen goods, received the same 7 year sentence and transported on the "Guilford" with Michael. Both men were stone masons.)
He was assigned as a servant of Charles Beasley of Windsor to serve his sentence.
Michael was granted a Certificate of Freedom on the 28th July 1829.
Description: 16 years old. Height 5'4 1/4" with pale complexion, sandy hair and dark eyes.
Michael is buried in the Roman Catholic section of the Bumberry Cemetery with his wife Ellen.
