Jeffrey Gene Parker

PARKER, Jeffrey Gene – Age 31, of Roseburg, Oregon, passed away on Friday, April 4, 1997 at his home. He was born October 23, 1965 in Klamath Falls, Oregon, where he was raised and educated. He attended Peterson Grade School, Brixner Junior High and graduated from Mazama High School in 1984. Jeff was a horseman and earned several championships in cow cutting and penning. After graduating he moved to Corvallis, Oregon, where he attended Linn-Benton Community College and later Oregon State University. At Oregon State he participated on the Rowing Team. Jeff moved to Reno, Nevada in 1987. He worked as a dealer at Harrahs Casino until 1989 when he went to work for the Flamingo Hilton as a Gaming Supervisor. He moved to Roseburg in 1995 due to his illness. Jeff enjoyed the outdoors, especially hunting, fishing and camping. He also enjoyed bowling, golf and bingo. He is survived by his mother Veronica Yancey and her husband, John of Roseburg; his father, Terry Parker and his wife, Kerry of Klamath Falls, Oregon; a brother, Trevor Parker of Roseburg and his parental grandparents, R. T. and Ethel Parker of Klamath Falls; maternal grandparents, Warren and Luella Marsh of Corvallis, numerous aunts, uncles and cousins including Jean Wiscarver of Brush, Colorado, Twila Repp of Eugene, Oregon and Ted and Marcy Parker of Eugene and also a special friend, Stacy Carbine of Bordertown, Nevada. He is also survived by his companions parents, Ernie and Carole Scheiber of Sparks, Nevada. He was preceded in death by his companion, Mark Scheiber who died in 1994. Funeral services will be conducted at TAYLOR'S FAMILY CHAPEL in Winston, Oregon, on Tuesday April 8, 1997 at 11 a.m. Chaplain Les Albjerg will officiate. Interment will be at Roseburg Memorial Garden Cemetery in Roseburg, Oregon. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Jeff can be made to either Mercy Hospice, The Ruby House, The Friendly Kitchen or The Oregon Health Science Aids Research home at P.O. Box 583, Winston, OR 97496
