The same applies to his siblings. It makes sense that they would be in a hospital but on the other hand it would take them quite a while to get there by horse.

Death 21st November 1966 • Repatriation Hospital, Daw Park, South Australia •Daw Park, South Australia Fred was reaching continuously and his son, Kevin, asked him if he wanted to be taken to the hospital. He did so he was. He was flown to Adelaide where he died.
Funeral November 1966 • West Tec Cemetery, Adelaide It was decided to bury him in Adelaide rather than at his home cemetery in Port Lincoln, due to the cost of having his body transported from Adelaide to Port Lincoln. He was given an R.S.L. funeral in the chapel at the cemetery.

Employment Lower Eyre Peninsula Fred had quite a few jobs during his lifetime. He was a farmer, photographer, dairy operator, Lucerne grower, road worker, rabbit inspector, travelling salesman, woodcutter, charcoal maker, labourer, greenkeeper (bowling green), & gardener at the hospital.
Height Southern South Australia Fred was short, having to look through the steering wheel to see while driving. Two of his sons were also short, one being a jockey and two tall.
