Joseph was born in 1736. He died in 1792.

Deed Book 00 86-)138) William Mathis and Elizabeth Mathis of Edgecombe Co. to James Benton of same 11 Feb 1760. 45 pounds Va money 200 acres, which was part of a 300 acre Granville Grant to Simon Parker 25 Mar 1749, Joining sd William Mathis and James Benton, Wm Deloch Wit: James (x) Benton, William Foreman. A. Speir Sep Ct 1760 Jams Hall C. Parker-2050 and Parker-1535 appear to represent the same person because: Need to resolve conflicting dates and perhaps there are two people here and they are just not brothers.

Parker-2050 was instead merged into Parker-1256.
