Note:
John H. Parker, 83, of New Berlin died at 6:13 p.m. Sunday at St. John's Hospital following a long illness.
He was born on May 21, 1902, in Hebron, Neb., the son of Edwin and Mary Murray Parker. He married Helen Koke in 1925 in Berlin. A retired farmer, Mr. Parker was a deacon, elder and former Sunday school superintendent at the Berlin Christian Church. He was preceded in death by three brothers and three sisters.
Surviving are his wife, Helen; two sons, John E. of New Berlin and James M. of Genoa City, Wis.; two daughters, Mrs. Lloyd (Mary) Hughes and Mrs.Thomas (Helen) Ealey, both of Springfield; 21 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at McCullough Funeral Home, New Berlin. Burial will be in Berlin Cemetery.
