MYTH BUSTED

Information from at least three biologically different yDNA Aaron Parkers have been merged in people’s genealogy trees.
1. Aaron Parker of Parker yDNA Family Group #05, born abt 1765 Baltimore County, MD.; BELIEVED TO BE the same Aaron Parker who died in 1833 Copiah County, MS.; married Tabitha Rayburn. His birth year is based upon a 4 May 1786 Wilkes Co., GA. land indenture, minus 21 years of age, equals 1765 birth year, and his birth location assumes he was born in the same location as his probable brother, the Elder John Parker(1758-1836) who stated in his 1832 Coles Co., IL Revolutionary War pension application that he was born in 1758 Baltimore Co., MD., then moved to Culpeper Co., VA sometime prior to the start of the revolutionary war. After the war the Elder John Parker, his brother Daniel and it’s believed this Aaron Parker all migrated to Wilkes Co., GA. (later (1790) Elbert Co., GA.). Then in 1803 migrated to Dickson Co., TN. In 1807 the Elder John Parker sold / granted land to Aaron Parker in Dickson Co., TN.
2. Aaron Parker of Parker yDNA Family Group #07, born abt 1755 in Nanosemond Co, VA. died abt 1827 Henry County, GA.; married Elizabeth Sheffield. He was the son of John Parker and Mary Stone of Nanosemond Co., VA. See Rootsweb tree for research.
3. Aaron Parker of Parker yDNA Family Group #18, born abt 1781 in Hampshire Co., VA (now Mineral Co., W.V.) and died in 1804 Sumner Co., TN., son of Nathaniel Parker 1724-1811 and his wife Elizabeth Scott. In 1803 Nathaniel Parker 1724-1811 transferred land and slaves to him in Sumner Co., TN. Under British common law Aaron Parker had to be 21 years of age, thus the abt. 1781 birth year. His nuncupative will (oral) was filed at the March 1805 Sumner, TN. court. See for research on this Aaron Parker and his father Nathaniel Parker 1724-1811.
