Rachel Parker was born in 1698 in Groton, Massachusetts, to Samuel Parker and Abigail Lakin. She married Obadiah Sawtell on November 16, 1721, in her hometown. They had six children in 15 years. She died on December 1, 1769, in Sullivan County, New Hampshire, at the age of 71, and was buried in Charlestown, New Hampshire.

She was buried in Forest Hill Cemetery, Charlestown,Sullivan County, New Hampshire, USA.
Inscription:
"Here Lies the body of Mrs. Rachal Sartwell the wife of Insign Obidiah Sartwell who departed this life December 1st, 1769 in the 71st year of her age."[1]
