Biography

HEADSTONE - BIRTH - July 04, 1890. Cobalt's baseball star; clerked at Nipissing Stores, outfitters for New Ontario.

Assistant manager of Cobalt's Nipissing Stores, a major outfitter for the community of 20,000 people as well as the transient prospectors. Met and married Mary; then managed company store in Iroquois Falls; transferred to Smooth Rock Falls; lived in Cochrane midpoint. Six months before Len's birth, stock market crash and his dad Tom lost his job. Moved back to Penetang and there were hungry days.


DEATH - Died November 14, 1954.

INTERMENT TOGETHER WITH SHARED HEADSTONE, in St. Ann's Roman Catholic Cemetery, Penetanguishene, Simcoe, Ontario, Canada.
