It is uncertain who his parents are and the claim of Anne (Parker) Noyes (abt.1576-bef.1658) being his sister is debated. He is being detached from Unknown Parker until credible documentation can be found.
Robert Parker (1569–1614) was an English Puritan clergyman and scholar. His parents are unknown. He was educated at Magdalen College, Oxford, graduated B.A. 3 November 1582, Fellow 1585–93, M.A. 22 June 1587. In 1607 he escaped through Gravesend to avoid prosecution for his non-conformist beliefs. Parker settled in the Netherlands and was acquainted with the other non-conformist clergy who also had fled England. He died in Doesburg, Gelderland in 1614.
In 1589 Parker married Dorothy Stephens. It has been claimed that Dorothy was the daughter of Nicholas Stephens (d. 1611) and his wife Frances Brydges, daughter of Sir Richard Brydges, of Burderop Park, Chiseldon, Wiltshire, and his wife Lady Jane Spencer. However, as discussed in Nicholas Stephens' profile, Nicholas' daughter Dorothy married Thomas Yates instead.
