Biography

Kate Lilian was born on 14 October 1899 at Birmingham, Warwickshire, the daughter of George Parks and Harriet Rebecca Eades. She was baptised at St. Paul's Church on 5 November 1899. Her parents were then living at 10 Cornwall Pl, Shakespeare Rd and her father was a pearl worker. The family's surname in the baptismal register was recorded as Parkes.

Kate's date of birth was recorded in the 1939 Register.

In 1901 the Parkes [sic] family were still living at 10 Cornwall Place, Birmingham. Kate was aged 1 year.

In 1911 the Parks family was living at No. 1 Back 80 Coplow St, Birmingham. Kate, aged 11, was attending school.

Kate L Parks married Harry Hutt in 1923 at Birmingham.

This couple had two daughters named Kathleen M Hutt born 1924 and Lilian Ann Hutt born 11 August 1928, both born in Birmingham.

Daughter Kathleen M Hutt died in 1927 aged just 3 years.

The family was living at 2 Court, 22 Dollman Street in the 1930 and 1935 electoral rolls. Kate's brother Frederick was living with them in 1930. Then in the 1939 and 1945 rolls they were residing at 48 Bushbury Rd. And in the 1950 and 1955 rolls they were residing at 20 Heynesfield Rd.
