DNA Connections
It may be possible to confirm family relationships with Thomas by comparing test results with other carriers of his Y-chromosome or his mother's mitochondrial DNA. However, there are no known yDNA or mtDNA test-takers in his direct paternal or maternal line. It is likely that these autosomal DNA test-takers will share some percentage of DNA with Thomas:

He married his step-sister, Dorothy Thompson, (52710801) daughter of his father's second wife on 20 Oct 1644 in Wethersfield, CT.

Parks-7253 and Parkes-589 appear to represent the same person because: Names are duplicate, although spellings are different.

Parke-1483 and Parkes-589 appear to represent the same person because: identical death, birth on Parke=1483 is incorrect due to lack of Pre-1700 certification, please ignore and merge

Parks-4180 and Parkes-589 appear to represent the same person because: This is a duplicate. All sources use Parks as the LNAB, not Parkes.

This profile should be detached from the John Park(e) + Mary Witter spousal relationship that existed in Connecticut. There is no evidence that this particular person was descended from them, or had a sister named Abigail, who truly was a descendant of them.

Parks-473 and Parkes-589 appear to represent the same person because: Removed unmerged match and reinitiated merge. Only distinction is spelling of last name. Same dates, parents and wife should be merged.

Hi, what evidence is there that Thomas born in VA is the son of John & Mary (Witter) Parke of Connecticut. I can see this relationship appears in a lot of online trees, but it seems unlikely. Thanks!
