Penny was born in 1953. Penny is the daughter of Russell Parman and Betty McCowen. She passed away in 1991.

Penny Parman Furman, 38, Westwood, a lawyer, died Aug. 24, 1991, at the home.
Ms. Furman was a lawyer with the U.S. Department of Education and earlier was a lawyer with the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development and worked for Legal Aid of Western Missouri. She was a 1971 graduate of Maryville (Mo.) High School and received a law degree at the University of Denver. She was a member of Phi Mu sorority.
She served on the board of the Kansas City Free Health Clinic.
She was born in Maryville and moved to this area in 1976.
Survivors include her parents, Dr. and Mrs. Russell Parman of Maryville; a brother, Scott Parman, Hong Kong; a sister, Michelle Parman, Los Angeles; and her paternal grandmother, Urith Parman, Grant City, Mo.
Memorial services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at the Price Chapel, Maryville; cremation, with burial in Nodaway Memorial Gardens Cemetery, Maryville. Friends may call from 7 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the chapel. The family suggests contributions to the American Diabetes Association or the Kansas City Free Health Clinic.
