William was born in 1840. He is the son of John Parr and Susan Johnston. [1] He was a Private in Company B of the 6th Arkansas Infantry, enlisting and mustered in 14 Sep. 1861 at Camden, Arkansas. He was in a hospital in Nashville, 20 Dec. 1861 - listed on a receipt roll for clothing, and he died, presumably of disease, on or about 28 Dec. 1861 when he was buried.
