Mary Parr was born before 1755 per census records, likely in Halifax (now Patrick) County, VA, to John and Mart Keaton Parr. The Parrs are believed to descend from John and Mary Parr of Prince George's County, MD. [1]
Mary Parr married Robert Crump about 1769 in what was then Pittsylvania County, VA. By 1773, they'd likely moved with Robert's older brother William to North Carolina.
After many years in Stokes County, NC, Mary and her husband moved to join their children in Franklin County, GA. Robert died about 1825 and Mary was still living in 1830 when she executed a deed in Franklin County as a legatee of her husband.
Her exact date of death is unknown. She is believed to be buried in the Crump Family Cemetery in Prospect (Franklin County), Franklin County, Georgia, USA. [2]
