Elizabeth Eldridge was born about 1648 in England.
She married Samuel Parris about 1681 in Massachusetts.[1][2]
Elizabeth Parris died (age 48) on 14 July 1696 in Salem, Massachusetts.[3]
Elizabeth Parris was mentioned on a memorial in Wadsworth Cemetery, Danvers, Essex County, Massachusetts, United States with a death date of 21 March 1696.[4]
Her grave is marked by a headstone upon which is the following verse, after which are the initials of Mr. Paris:[5]
"Sleep precious dust, no stranger now to rest,
Thou has thy longed wish, within Abraham's brest,
Farewell best wife, choice mother, neighbor, friend,
We'll wail thee less, for hopes of thee in the end."

Eldridge-3738 and Eldred-1081 appear to represent the same person because: These profiles both clearly represent the first wife of Samuel Paris. Eldred and Eldridge are alternate spellings of the same last name. The LNAB used by the oldest records for Elizabeth is Eldred

I have asked the manager of Elizabeth Parris (1648-1696) to change her last name to Eldred, the only maiden name provided for Elizabeth in the sources. I realize that the history books use Eldridge, but Torrey's New England Marriages before 1700 is the only source with her maiden name and that source uses Eldred. After that we should merge Parris-222 and Eldridge-3738 because that represent the same wife of Samuel Parris.
Please change the Last Name at Birth for Elizabeth to Eldred. This is the maiden name used by Torrey in New England Marriages prior to 1700. Parris is clearly a married name and not her original last name.
