From the items in Encyclopedia of American Quaker Genealogy, 1750 - 1930, by William Wade Hinshaw, p. 201 (Parsons) & p. 219 (Woody), the marriage of Joseph and Mary Woodson may not have taken place. In Jan 1746/47, Joseph and Mary Woodson declared their intent of marriage. However, in Feb of 1747, there were several "charges" against Joseph that he could not satisfactorily clear, so he was not allowed to proceed with the intent of marriage to Mary Woodson.
Another source was found for the marriage of a Joseph Parsons to a Mary Woodson that is said to have taken place on 10 Dec 1746 in Henrico County, Virginia.[19] No actual document image was available to see exactly the situation. It could have been another reference to the intent of marriage. Is there a source that verifies the marriage took place in May?
Opinion: Based on the marriage sources listed above, the biography section which is presented above with the children assigned to a couple should probably be removed as, to me, it does not appear to be in sync with the actual linked parents. BJS

Parsons-2992 and Parsons-174 appear to represent the same person because: These are the same people. The only detail dramatically different is the Kansas location of death for 174. All children were born in Virginia, and he has no other indications of a connection with Kansas. Please merge.
