Her parents were married on 21 May 1679 and moved to Cape May by September 1691.[1]
In her father's account book, now in the collection of the Cape May County Historical Society, he recorded her birth: "aprill ye 10 1680 my dafter liddia was borne-- [and in a different hand] & this Daughter Lydia died the 2d of October 1762, aged 82 years 5 months & 11 days."[2]
Lydia married in Cape May County on "8 April 1695, Capt. William Shaw, who d. 17 May 1712, son of Richard Shaw; m. there 12 Oct. 1714, Aaron Leaming, b. near East Hampton 12 Oct. 1687, d. at Philadelphia, Pa., 20 June 1746, ae. 58 yrs., son of Christopher and Esther/Hester (Burnet) Leaming."[2]
