Biography

He was a Physician in Rye, NH, for about 50 years and also served as Justice of the Peace for many of those years. He went privateering one cruise during the War of 1812. (Wikipedia defines privateering as a "person or ship authorized by the government by letters of marque to attack foreign vessels during wartime, and take them as prizes.")

He served in the senate and state legislature in NH for several years.

He married Abigail Garland, of Rye, on Sept 22, 1857.
