This profile is a "placeholder" profile to represent the first wife of Thomas Catlin, who was also the mother of his children. It is very likely that she married Thomas Catlin in England, and that the couple later emigrated to New England.
Whilst her names are uncertain; the only marriage record found thus far for a Thomas Catlin in England, that could relate to the emigres, is the marriage in Ashdon, Essex, England of a Thomas Catlin and a Mary Nottage, on 23 Nov 1637.
Pending further research and verification that this is or may be the correct marriage record for Thomas Catlin's first wife, the name "Mary Nottage" is used as a placeholder to represent this person.
Mary Nottage was probably born in Ashdon, Essex, England around 1607 or so.
On 23 Nov 1637 in Asdon, Mary married a Thomas Catlin of Great Chesterford, Essex[1][2].
It is as yet UNCERTAIN as to whether her husband was the Thomas Catlin who emigrated to New England and fathered several children there. Further research is underway to confirm or refute.
Thomas Catlin's first wife died before 1678 in Connecticut Colony.

I'm a little puzzled as to who this profile is designed to represent. If it is meant to be for the first wife of Thomas Catlin, then I believe that even her christian name is unknown. If "this" Thomas Catlin married in England before emigrating to New England, then there is a possible marriage in Ashdon, Essex, England of Thomas Catlin of Great Chesterford, Essex to a Mary Nottage of Ashdon, on 23 Nov 1637<ref>Essex Record Office ref. D/P 18/1/3, Essex Marriages & Banns 1537-1935</ref><ref>England Marriages 1538-1973</ref>. If Thomas and his first wife immigrated to New England in 1638 or later, this would seem the most likely marriage; meaning perhaps that his first wife's name should be "Mary" after all.
However, if this profile is meant to represent the second wife of Thomas Catlin, namely the widow Mary (Unknown) Elmer, then this profile should be merged into the PGM protected profile for that person, viz. [Unknown-287719], which has been well-researched.
