Biography

Uriah Partridge was born in Ashbury, Berkshire in about 1837 (possibly 15 Apr 1837) the son of William Henry Partridge and Elizabeth (Maxwell) Partridge.^[1][2]

By 1861 Uriah aged 24 was single, living at his parents home and working as a farm labourer.^[3]

On 11 June 1864, Uriah married Ann Bunce in Berkshire, and the family settled in their original home village of Ashbury.^[4][5][6]

By 1901, all of their children had left home.^[7] Uriah's wife Ann died in 1907, and thereafter Uriah lived in Ashbury with his son William Henry Partridge and his family.^[8]

Uriah died in Ashbury in Jan 1914 at the age of 76^[9][10]
