Biography
Ellen Chivers was born in Ashbury, Berkshire in Q3 1874; the birth was registered in nearby Faringdon.[1] She was the daughter of Thomas Chivers and his wife Ann.[2] By 1891, Ellen aged 16 was working in Lambourn, Berkshire as a domestic servant.
In Q4 1898 in Berkshire - probably at Ashbury - she married William Henry Partridge.[3][4]
The couple had five children, although their first child, a daughter Florence ann, died soon after birth.[5]
Ellen died aged 55 in October 1929[6], and was buried at St. Mary, Ashbury on 26 Oct 1929.[7]
