Emily was born in 1864 in the Swaffham registration district of Norfolk, England. She was the daughter of Edward Partridge and Susan Butters (although the GRO index gives Susan's surname as Buttero). [1]
She married James Scarf on 13 October 1883 at Shingham, Norfolk.[2][3]
