Biography
Merton Edwin "Mert" Partridge was born 2 June 1896, at Northport, Long Island, New York. He was the second of three children born to Charles Brownell Partridge[1] and Mary Louise Smith; Louise was a descendant of Richard Bull Smith of Smithtown.[2]
Merton worked as a mechanical engineer for Continental Oil Company. He married Grace Osborn Ludlow at Ponca City, Oklahoma, on 4 September 1927.[3] They had three children,[4] all of whom are still living.[5]
Merton Partridge died in 1986 at Ponca City.[6][7]
