Biography

Jessie Paterson, daughter of James Paterson and Isabella Macgillivray, was born about 1831 in Rafford, Moray, Scotland. ^[1] She worked as a domestic servant. ^[2]

She married James Stewart Pozzi 24 October 1862 in Elgin. ^[3] They lived at 40 High Street, Elgin. ^[4] Once James was the keeper of Elgin Cathedral, they lived in the cathedral lodge. ^[5] Jessie died 11 February 1914 and is memorialized on James' marker in Elgin Cathedral Cemetery. ^[6]
