The biography for Mary Paterson is empty. What can you add? I am the daughter of a Scottish immigrant to Montreal, Canada (paternal), the great-granddaughter of an Irish immigrant to NYC (maternal great grandfather), the great-granddaughter of an English immigrant to Connecticut (maternal great grandmother), and the great-granddaughter of an English family who came to New England many generations ago, perhaps at the time of the Mayflower. I am very interested in my ethnic roots, how my family identified itself before it became "white" in America. I am also interested in any inter-ethnic marriages or procreation in my family's history. I would like to discover what if anything my early-American ancestors had to do with slavery.
