Biography
Ada Josephine was the fifth of seven children born to [Ezra] Joseph & Mary Ann (Griffin) Patmore. They lived at Cook's Hill, a near suburb of Newcastle, NSW, where her birth was registered.
She married William Matthews, a Miner, in 1895. They lived in the Cook's Hill area and had four children. She was granted a divorce in 1910.
Ada Josephine remained on the Newcastle Electoral Rolls through to 1958 when she is enrolled at Panania, a south-western suburb of Sydney. She is buried at the nearby Liverpool Catholic Cemetery.
