Sarah Patterson was born in about 1759-60 in North Carolina, probably in Rowan County. She is thought to be the daughter of James Patterson and Jean (Rosamond) Patterson.
She married William Butram Jr. on 29 Jan 1780 in Rowan Co., North Carolina. [1]William Patterson was Bondsman, with B Booth Boote as Witness. Known children:
Little is known about her but she was not with William when he made his final move to White Co., Tennessee between 1834 and 1840. Even her place of burial is unknown, although her husband is buried in the Richard Bradley Cemetery in White Co., Tennessee." Taken from Find A Grave
Her Death Place was put as Wayne, Kentucky on the U.S., Sons of the American Revolution Mempership Application, Aug. 12, 1966. It has her spouse as William Buttrem, and children as John Elijah Buttram.[2]
