Thomas Patterson was born 01 DEC 1853 in Mono, Simcoe, Canada West. ^[1] He married Mary Phoenix 22 DEC 1875 in Mono, Simcoe, Ontario, Canada. ^[2] Thomas was a sawyer in Mono in 1891. ^[3] In 1896, they purchased land in the Elva district where they farmed until 1907. ^{[4] [5]} He continued there until his death on 23 Aug 1941. ^{[6] [7]}
