His occupation was "doing chores." He and Mary Patterson, 75 years old, were identified as father-in-law and mother-in-law, respectively,in the household headed by John H. Hardin, age 49 and a farmer. Others in the household were Susan E. Hardin (their daughter), age 43; and children Martin L. Hardin, 19; Thomas H. Hardin, 16; Joseph A. Hardin, 13; and John L. Hardin, 7.[1]
