Ideas on what to include in a profile can be found in Styles and Standards, including some tips on writing biographies.

If you need to describe an event, an heirloom or a location relevant to your research, you may like to learn about Free Space Profiles.

Lastly, sometimes you'll run into unresponsive profile managers. We have a process for resolving those unfortunate situations.

Hello, my name is Stephen P Patterson. I have been pursuing the genealogy of my family for the last 8 years. I am very interested in the mission to produce a single, verifiable, family tree here at WikiTree. I have 159 families and 405 individuals in my current tree and am prepared to share that work and to collaborate with others on this site.

I noticed you uploaded a GEDCOM. That's awesome. Our GEDCOM process is a bit different than what might be used to on other sites. We have some great help pages to make your experience go more smoothly:
