I think that a lot of work needs to be done on this Williams family. My 4th. great grandfather was James Williams, who was in the Revolution, and who died in Hempstead county, Arkansas, in the 1850's. From what I " understand ", said James Williams was a nephew of the Jarrett Williams who was in Dunsmore's War, and said Jarret Williams was " probably " the same as the one who, an Indian trader, brought a warning to the people of Watauga about the coming attack of Dragging Canoe.
