Johanes Jacob "Jake" Paulsen was born on 9 Aug 1876 in Osted, Volborg, Roskilde, Denmark to Nels Peter Paulsen and Ane Pethrine (Redder) Paulsen.
The family immigrated to America, arriving in 1881.
He married Lillie Rose Barber on 25 Sep 1910.
Together they became the parents of Norma Virginia Paulsen) Fritschen.
By 1918, Jacob was an invalid and was living with Lillie in Fowler, Otero, Colorado.[1] (This may indicate that he suffered from tuberculosis.)
Jake passed away on 6 Jun 1920 and was buried at
Saron Cemetery in Jamestown, Cloud County, Kansas.
