Edward Everett Payne was born on 19 March 1875 in Indiana, United States, son of John Davidson Payne (1827–1902) and Eliza Jane Hamilton (1833–1901).^[1]

Edward (45) married Estella Mary King (38) (born on 1 September 1881 in Colchester, Chittenden) on 20 March 1920 in Colchester, Chittenden. ^[3]

Edward died on 12 March 1945 in Colchester, Chittenden, Vermont, United States, aged about 69.^{[4] [1]} He was buried in Fort Ethan Allen Cemetery, Colchester, Vermont.
