WEIMAR LOCAL MATTERS
Again we are called upon to chronicle the death of a sweet little baby girl. "Mable Lizzie," infant daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Grey Payne, after an illness of a few weeks, died Thursday at the resident of Mrs. B W. Payne and was interred in the family lot in the Masonic cemetery of this place. Weep not dear, parents, while it is hard to give up those we love, "God does all things for the best," and has taken the cherub to Himself, where it now has ever rest and with the angels dwells. Colorado Citizen, Oct 28, 1897
Mabel Lizzie, infant daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Gray Payne, died Wednesday night at the residence of Mrs. B. W. Payne, after a brief illness. The little body so dear to the grieved parents was tenderly laid to rest in the Masonic cemetery Thursday afternoon at 4 o’clock, a large crowd of relatives and sympathizing friends witnessing the last sad rites. The MERCURY’S sincere sympathy is tendered the bereaved parents in their sad misfortune. God pity and comfort them, is our sincere wish. The Weimar Mercury, October 23, 1897
