Graveside services for Harley Lee Payne, 77, of 206 N. Fisher in Tishomingo wee conducted Friday, June 12 at 3 pm at Tishomingo City Cemetery with Rev. John Bayles of Atoka officiating and Rev. Ted Hall assisting. Interment was under the direction of Richard Smith Funeral Home.
Mr. Payne was born Aug. 20, 1909 in Gainesville, Tex. and died June 8 in Wilhelmina Medical Center in Mena, Ark.
Reared in the Reagan and Arkansas areas, he lived a number of years in Arkansas, and in Tishomingo since 1981. He was the son of Tom Payne of Arkansas and Beddy Bradley of Tennessee.
A farmer, he was associated with the Pentecostal Holiness Church.
Survivors include one brother, Loies Payne of Tishomingo; two sisters, Viola Carroll of Reagan; Mae Brumbelow of Rockdale, Tex.; and a number of nieces and nephews.[1]
