Biography

Chester was born on April 15, 1907, in Churdan, Greene County, Iowa. He is the son of Ira Peacock and Mary Shriver.

He passed away on September 28, 1970, in Spirit Lake, Dickinson County, Iowa. He was buried on October 1, 1970 in Lake View Cemetery in Spirit Lake.

1920 - U.S. Federal Census - In the 1920 census, Ira Peacock, 37, is living in Northfield, Rice County, Minnesota, with his wife, Mary, 33, and children, Bulah, 14, and Chester, 12. Ira is listed as a laborer.[2]

1930 - U.S. Federal Census - In the 1930 census, Ira F. Peacock, 47, is living in Center Grove, Dickinson County, Iowa, with his wife Mary, 43, and children, Beulah, 24, and Chester, 23. Ira is listed as the manager of an automobile garage and Chester is working as a checker on road construction.[3]

1940 - U.S. Federal Census - In the 1940 census, Ira Peacock, 57, was living in Spirit Lake, Dickinson County, Iowa with his wife, Mary, 53. Also living with them was their son, Chester, 32. Ira is an auctioneer and Chester is a salesman.[4]
