Sarah Pearse was born in 1766, a daughter to Samuel Pearse and Thomazin Ham in North Petherton, Somerset, England. She was baptised November 30, 1766 in North Petherton.

Sarah married Francis Chidgey August 1, 1791 in St Decumans, Williton, Somerset.
